BAPAM can advise actors, dancers, musicians, stage crew, and other performing arts professionals (including teachers) about problems including:

  • Activity-related pain, 'RSI', overuse injuries, tendonitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, dance injuries, muscular tension, hypermobility, musculoskeletal problems caused by performance technique or posture.
  • Voice loss or strain in singers, actors and professional voice users, hearing problems.
  • Stage fright, anxiety, stress.

The clinician will assess your work related health problem and give you advice on how you can manage and improve it. You will be seen by a medical practitioner with specialist knowledge of the demands of a career in the performing arts. BAPAM is a non-profit health care organisation and the clinicians are either volunteers or provide their services at a reduced rate.
