There is no typical victim of slavery – victims can be men, women and children of all ages and cut across the population. But it is normally more prevalent amongst the most vulnerable, minority or socially excluded groups.
Types of slavery include Child Trafficking, Forced labour/ debt bondage, Sexual exploitation, Criminal exploitation and Domestic servitude.
Common signs of modern day slavery include Physical appearance, Isolation, Poor living conditions, Few or no personal posessions, Restricted freedom of movement, Unusual travel times and Relunctant to seek help.
